Arthritis and treatment with Quran
Arthritis is a popular disease in our region. It is rather painful with inflammation in the joints. Medical doctors could not treat it but there is a man who uses leaves from various trees and bushes and recites secretly something that is not understood to us. He wipes over the hurting place and few small seeds like come out of the injured place. The suffering person feels better, then later totally cured of the pain and suffering.
What is the ruling on such treatment? Is it considered a black or evil magic? This person dealt with many cases of the same illness and all were cured.
If the reciter treating person is known amongst you that he is a pious and Allah-Fearing person, and if the treatment is with natural trees and bushes leaves as you stated in your question, and by reciting verses from Quran or supplications then the treatment is fine.
There are authentically reported statements about similar treatments.
But, if the treating person is known for lack or bad religious practice, them he might be using satanic powers for his treatment. If so, it is not permissible to do so.
